Production methods
The preparation method is to add o-methyl benzoic acid and catalyst to the reactor, and melt it with steam heating. The temperature is kept at 125℃, and the phosgene reaction is carried out for 18h. Sampling analysis is conducted to determine whether the reaction is complete. O-methyl benzoyl chloride can also be prepared by using sulfoxide chloride and phosphorus trichloride as acyl chlorination agents.
